Automatically match transactions between your YNAB register and bank statements from Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citi, and other major banks. Step 1: Upload YNAB Export

Drop YNAB Register CSV here

or click to select file

Download YNAB Register Export:

Open YNAB and go to your budget
Click the dropdown in the top left of the sidebar
Select "Export Plan"
If a pop-up occurs "Ok"
Save the Zip file to your computer
Unzip the folder and open the "-Register.csv" file

The register file includes all transactions YNAB is aware of.

Step 2: Upload Bank Files

Download Bank Transaction Files:

Most Banks (Online Banking):

Log into your bank's website or app
Navigate to your account (checking, savings, credit card)
Look for "Export", "Download", or "Statements"
Choose date range (You will need all transactions from your last reconciliation to today)
Select format: CSV, OFX, QFX, QBO, or QIF
Download the file(s)

Popular Banks:

Chase: Account details → Download account activity
Bank of America: Download transactions → Export
Wells Fargo: Account activity → Download
Citi: Account activity → Download
Credit Cards: Usually under "Statements" or "Activity"

OFX/QFX format works best. PDF statements are not supported.

Step 3: Configure Reconciliation

Select Account:

Start Date:

End Date:

Date Threshold (days): Max days apart for transactions to match

Flip Bank Transaction Signs
Check this if your bank exports income as negative and expenses as positive. This will multiply all bank transaction amounts by -1 before matching. (This is common for credit cards)
Auto-optimization: We'll test both orientations and automatically use whichever produces more matches.
